Construction Evidence
Use of sound in our opening
The first step we took in deciding which sounds to use in our horror film opening was referring to research we had previously conducted into conventional sounds expected in our genre of an ultra low budget horror film, from there we went online and considered various sounds that were judged on how they would fit into our film in terms of ambience pitch and speed. We achieved this by Looking at various video's on different websites. The songs we looked to obtain for our opening were part of 3 hour playlists so would be harder to download due to file sizes, we eventually decided on a background music file to use the next step was to download it.

A common occurrence we found when exporting files from Youtube and downloading them to an mp3 version was that the content for websites we wanted to load were all blocked by the schools ICT administrators. However, in our own time we researched which the best sites for converting videos were and approached DownVid.net which was unlocked and abled us to convert the video although it was in an Mp4 format.

Due to issues in finding a website for mp3 we decided to use the video we downloaded in mp4 and restrict it from the background image being seen using Premier Pro. This meant we could still have the desired background sounds but it would be hidden using a tool in editing. Overall we broke the sound up into certain stages for the editing process in order to fit in with timings we intended to use within the horror film opening.
